Rare Eight-Circuit Fire Telegraph Repeater, by Gamewell Fire Alarm Telegraph Co., New York, No. 565, with weight-driven lacquered-brass skeleton movement connected to twelve terminals, engraved shield with patent dates Dec. 97 and Jan. 04, marble platform and nickel-plated plinth, in beveled-glass case with four corner finials and electric light (later shade) on central hooped bracket with finial, 55 x 18 in., (lacking weights and stand, corner of glass cracked).

Note: This repeater automatically retransmitted fire alarms to the alarm circuits of the city without the necessity of having an attendant being on duty.
