Description:

Needlework Sampler, wrought by "Mary Burvill 1800," silk threads on a linen ground with a row of alphabets above a verse entitled "Heavenly Love" over a panel with angels, birds, flowers, diamonds, and hearts, over a verse "On Death" over another alphabet and signature row, and a row with flowers, peacocks, baskets of fruit and medallions, (fading),16 x 20 in., framed.

Note: A note affixed to the reverse states that Mary Burvill was from Belfast, Ireland.
