Portrait of Two Children Driving a Pony Cart. Unsigned. Oil on canvas, possibly New York, 1840s, one child is standing wearing a light red dress and holding a rattle, the other seated wearing a dark red velvet dress, black black belt with a gold buckle, green pants, diamond patterned stockings, and black button shoes, and is holding a whip and the reins, with a bit of landscape, "Goupil & Co. Artists Colourmen Broadway, New York," on canvas on the reverse, 36 x 28 3/4 in., unframed. Condition: Re-varnished, minor abrasions, minor losses.
