Scotland, possibly 18th century, rectangular wooden panel with applied molding painted black with gilt lettering "IOHN HERIOT.FARMER IN CASTLE MAINS.LEFT TO THE POOR OF DIRLETOUN ONE HUNDRED POUNDS SCOTS.HE DIED THE 19th OF MARCH 1725 AGED 60 YEARS," a paper label with genealogy is affixed to the reverse, (scattered paint wear),16 x 23 1/2 in.
