Grain Painted Pine Six-Board Chest, New England, 1830-40, the hinged top lifts to an in interior with a lidded till above a molded base, includes iron side carrying handles, the fanciful brown and gold faux bois is outlined with painted simulated gold stringing in double outline of the top and facade, old surface, (minor imperfections),ht. 17 3/4, wd. 40, dp. 18 3/4 in.
