Combined Rocking and Caster Chair Patent Model, John David Bronne, New York, October 5, 1838, the chair model with black leather upholstery on a mahogany frame, changes from a rocking chair to a stationary chair with a lever to the side of the seat, brass and iron castors, with applied whalebone plaque with engraved maker's nameplate, partial patent label affixed to arm, paper label affixed to underside of seat, (tears to upholstery), ht. 15, wd. 9 1/4 in.
