Chippendale Walnut Carved Tall Case Clock, George Faber, Sumneytown, Pennsylvania, late 18th century, the hood with molded swan's neck cresting terminating in carved rosettes above the thumb-molded glazed tombstone dial enclosing a polychrome and gilt painted iron dial with moon phase indicator, calendar aperture, and seconds hand, inscribed "George Faber, Sumneytown, PA," with brass weight-driven pull-up movement, all flanked by freestanding columns above the thumb-molded shaped waist door flanked by reeded quarter-columns on base flanked by quarter columns and ogee bracket feet, refinished, (imperfections, restoration),ht. 89 in.
