Five Early Lighting Devices, America, early 19th century, including three pewter fluid burning lamps, one by Roswell Gleason of Dorchester, Massachusetts, with a brass camphene burner, a small chamber lamp with a camphene burner by Endicott and Sumner of New York City, a cylindrical font lamp with whale oil burners, together with a pair of sheet metal reproduction hogscraper push-up candlesticks marked "SHAW" on the lever, (wear), ht. 8, 3 1/2, 6, 7 in., respectively.
