(Kennedy Rocker), Group of material related to the celebrated "Kennedy Rocker," including a two page analysis of John F. Kennedy's body and how the rocker should best be designed, commercial correspondence and press clippings, and two drawings, one a satirical cartoon depicting "Congress" in the rocking chair, the other a drawing of an empty rocking chair inscribed "To Bobby, in respectful remembrance - Boyd, 1963. Note: It was upon a visit to Dr. Janet Travell's office that John F. Kennedy first encountered what would later be dubbed "The Kennedy Rocker." His frequent use of this chair to alleviate his back pain would become one of the symbols of his Presidency.
