Attributed to Benjamin Blyth (Salem, Massachusetts, 1746-after 1787)

Pair of Portraits of Elizabeth Bradish and Her Sister. Unsigned. Sitters identified by inscriptions written on paper affixed to the backboards. Pastel on paper, 14 3/4 x 10 1/2 in., in molded giltwood frames. Condition: Laid down onto panel, one with losses on left edge.

Note: Included with the portraits are a few articles clipped from various publications, including the Magazine Antiques, regarding the work of artist Benjamin Blyth and depicting several examples of his work.
