Red and White Woven Jacquard Coverlet, attributed to Isaac William Van Doren (1798-1869), Millstone, New Jersey, 1855, two-piece wool and cotton double weave Jacquard coverlet composed of twenty-four floral bouquets interspersed with sixteen-point and eight-point stars, border design of eagles above swags with "Liberty" inscribed above their heads, corner blocks with inscription "LOUIS A. UPDIKE MILLSTONE N.J. 1855 I.W.V.D.," applied fringe on one end, (one end cut, minor scattered losses), 102 x 78 in.
