Federal Mahogany and Cherry Tall Case Clock, Ezra Batchelder, Danvers, Massachusetts, c. 1795, the hood with reeded plinths topped by brass ball finials joined by pierced fret above the molded arched cornice and glazed tombstone door enclosing the iron polychrome and gilt dial showing a British frigate in the arch, second hand and calendar aperture and lettered "Ezra Batchelder, Danvers," and brass eight-day weight-driven movement, the waist with molded tombstone door flanked by reeded engaged quarter columns on base and bracket feet, old refinish, (minor restoration),ht. 89 1/4 in.
