Description:

Federal Carved Mahogany and Mahogany Veneer Chamber Stand, possibly Rhode Island, c. 1825, the rectangular divided hinged top above a hinged door and drawer bordered by reeding all on vase and ring-turned spiral-carved tapering legs, old brass pulls, old surface, (imperfections), ht. 35 3/4, wd. 19, dp. 15 in.

Note: Label on inside of drawer reads, "This wash stand is the property of Mrs. Everard Appleton Bridgham Farm, Pleasant Street, Rumford, R.I. Loaned to the Colonial Dames of R.I. for 3 months from Feb. 22-1936."
