Central Plains Beaded and Quilled Hide Pipe Bag, Lakota, c. last quarter 19th century, the soft hide bag with two lanes of beadwork at the opening, one lane of beadwork down each side to the panel, the panel with multicolored concentric diamond devices on a medium blue ground, polychrome quill-wrapped rawhide slats and fringe from the bottom, further decorated with quill-wrapped and roll-beaded drops suspended from the top, (minor quill loss),lg. 39 in.
