Chippendale Cherry Side Chair, Connecticut, late 18th century, the serpentine shaped crest rail above a pierced vasiform splat and raking stiles on a trapezoidal slip seat set in a beaded frame on cabriole frontal legs with arris knees ending in pad feet on platforms and chamfered raked rear legs, refinished, (minor imperfections),ht. 38, seat ht. 16 1/2 in.
Note: Underside of seat frame inscribed "M.W. and Son," with original linen upholstery and webbing.
