Portrait of a Young Gentleman. Unsigned. Oil on panel, bust length portrait in an oval format, 11 5/8 x 9 1/2 in., in a molded giltwood frame. Condition: Minor craquelure, small superfluous paint drip.

Note: A note affixed to the reverse reads: "Painting of Young Man Written on back in pencil but now faded. Inventory record -bought 1946 Alcock Beardsley of Plymouth, Conn. Painted in 1841-Age 23."
