(Civil War, Union), Six articles, including McClellan, General George, Autograph Letter Signed, post-war undated, declining an invitation to visit; Logan, General John A., Note Signed, of thanks, 1885; Ingalls, Rufus, Assistant Quartermaster General, Autograph Letter Signed, May 15th, 1864, near Spotsylvania, to Captain Pitkin, responding to a note and ordering use of wagons to remain as ordered previously, urging him to work quickly and efficiently and making pointed remarks and comments; Dix, General John, Note Signed, of introduction for C.H. Brackett, May 16th, 1862; Meigs, Brigadier General Montgomery, Letter Signed, requesting a directory, 1871; Sigel General Franz, Autograph Letter Signed, 1867, to Major General S. W. Crawford, four pages, a lengthy letter discussing the battle of Cedar Mountain and inquiring as to his positions, losses, etc., with a carte-de-visite, (all good).
