Henry (from Georgia) at Mr. Strother's Hotel," concerning a response made of him concerning public accounts and probably a legal case, with holograph address leaf, (minor seal loss to address leaf). Text in full: Sir, Having given instructions to Judge Anderson, the first Comptroller of public accounts, on the subject to your last letter, I have to request that you will communicate with him on that subject. Every accommodation, which the usages of the government, founded on just principles, will admit of, applicable to the existing case, will be afforded to you. with great respect I am,/ Sir, yr. obt. servant./ James Monroe.
