Painted and Stenciled Fancy Armchair,. probably New England, c. 1830, the rectangular crest above three horizontal spindles and raking stiles joined to the scrolled arms on rush balloon seat and turned legs joined by stretchers, old rosewood graining with gilt stenciling and striping, (imperfections),ht. 33 1/2, seat ht. 17 in.
