Three-Panel Memorial to a Fallen Soldier. Unsigned. Oil on cardboard, depicting three scenes, two in an oval format: one of a female figure standing next to an anchor partially anchored in the ground, with a palisade overlooking an ocean in the background, the other a woman standing before a vine-covered cross with mountains in the background; flanking a center panel with a cross-form grave marker with the inscription "E.J. Hosmer 1st SERG'T Co D 52nd Mass. Jan 24th 63" and scenic background, sight sizes 3 1/4 x 2 3/8, 7 1/2 x 4 3/4 in., framed. Condition: Good.
