American Archtop Guitar, John D'Angelico, New York, 1947, Model New Yorker, stamped internally D'ANGELICO, NEW YORK, 1766, the bound two-piece birds-eye maple back, the sides of strong narrow curl, the bound spruce top of medium grain with internal X-bracing, the one-piece maple neck of medium curl, the bound laminated headstock with D'ANGELICO, NEW YORK and NEW YORKER engraved pearl inlay, the bound ebony fingerboard with split block pearl inlay, the natural finish, length of back 21 3/8 in., width of lower bout 18 1/8 in., with original and pickup mounted pickguards, original hard-shell case.
