Smiling Bisque Swivel-Neck Lady Doll Attributed to Alexandre Dehors, France, c. 1870s, blue stationary eyes, heart-shaped face with closed mouth in definite smile, double chin, sharp nose, soft even coloring, pierced-in ears, shoulder plate with gently molded bosom, (small chip to center front of shoulder plate, small finger of right hand broken, left ring finger broken, middle finger cracked), original ash blonde mohair wig, kid body stamped on torso Rohmer, (sides of body restitched), old gold silk taffeta gown with train, ht. 18 in.
