Izannah Walker Oil Painted Cloth Doll, Central Falls, Rhode Island, c. 1860s, oil painted head and lower limbs, brown eyes, softly painted mouth, short dark hair, brushstrokes in front of molded ears, (no apparent repaint, wear and crazing to face and hair, separation at left ankle and some old restitching on limbs, one Band-Aid type repair), old white cotton undergarments and soft red print dress, ht. 16 1/2 in.
Provenance: This doll, and the other small Izannah Walker dolls in Maurine's collection, came to her through the Walker family.
