Charles II Silver Peg Tankard, London, 1683, Francis Singleton, maker, cylindrical, with low stepped lid with cast volute thumbpiece, reeded trim to lid and foot, ear handle, fully marked at body and lid, with maker's mark at handle, interior set with vertical row of six pegs, engraved with later coat of arms featuring a quartered shield topped by two helmets and two supporters, flanked by leafy scrolls, ht. 6 3/4 in., approx. 25 troy oz.
