Continental Giltwood and Creme Painted Marionette Theatre, late 19th century, with gilt-edged creme painted crest, uprights, and frieze, set with giltwood swags, patera, and a central satyr mask, with two elaborately painted backdrops, one on canvas roller depicting peasant revelry, the other stationary on board depicting Venice's Piazza San Marco, on plain pine base, together with other backdrop panels, ht. 90, wd. 68 1/2, dp. 35 in.
