Four Overture Musical Box By Nicole Freres, late 1870s, No. 46587, Gamme No. 1234, with 12 1/8 x 3 1/8-inch cylinder, tune indicator with engraved tune list, combined repeat/change and tune selector control, engine-turned control panel (with instant stop lever) and spring barrel, and silvered tune plaque (pour Metzler & co., Londres),in rosewood veneered case with brass stringing, cast handles and engraved brass and enamel inlay to the lid, wd. 25 in.(one tooth replaced).

The overtures are:Bellini's Puritani, Meyerbeer's Robert le Diable, Weber's Freischutz and Auber's Fra Diavolo.

The underside of the case is inscribed with probable repairer's marks, dated 1880, 1907 and 1938.
