Miniature Portrait of a Young Seaman, unsigned, watercolor on ivory, the young man with an anchor pin on his neckcloth, brass military buttons on his coat, seated before red drapery at his right shoulder, an open window at his left, with a view of a distant sailing vessel, encased in a gilt-metal pendant/brooch frame, the aperture with a monogram, containing a lock of braided hair, 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 in., (including hanging loop). Condition: Tiny specks to the backside of the glass.
