Paint Decorated Pine Six Board Chest, possibly Thomas Matteson, Shaftsbury, Vermont, c. 1825, the hinged top opening to an interior with till, on a nail constructed box with applied molded front and cut out feet, original red and brown graining with simulated stringing and dark brown base, (imperfections), ht. 25 1/2, wd. 45 1/2, dp. 20 in.
