Chippendale Mahogany Carved Side Chair, Boston or Salem, Massachusetts, c. 1760-80, the serpentine crest with molded and beaded terminals over scrolling pierced splat flanked by slightly raked stiles above trapezoidal slip seat with 19th century needlework cover in a molded frame on frontal arris cabriole legs ending in claw and ball feet joined to the chamfered rear legs by H-form block, vase, and ring-turned stretchers, old surface, (minor imperfections),ht. 37, seat ht. 16 1/2 in.
