Gorham Sterling Silver American Indian Theme Purse, Providence, late 19th/early 20th century, of typical form, the silver mesh purse mounted with colored cabochon stones to one side, the frame with enameled American Indian style symbols and pictographs to both sides, mounted with cabochons to one side, with naturalistic chain with enamel highlights, approx. 7 troy oz., lg. 6 1/2 in. Exhibitions: Gorham: Masterpieces in Metal, Rhode Island School of Design Museum of Art, December 3, 1983-February 12, 1984.
