Plains Beaded and Quilled Hide Man's Moccasins, c. 1880s, the soft hide uppers with quilled vamps in a barred pattern in red, yellow, purple, orange, and light blue quills, bordered with one row of light blue, pumpkin, and black beadwork, original tag reads 'Moccasins from the Crow Indian 'Pretty buffalo' Crow Agency, Montana April 4, 1889," (quill loss), lg. 10 1/2 in. Provenance: Collected on the Crow Reservation in the late 1880s.
