Northern Plains Beaded Rawhide Knife Case, Crow, 1880s, the knife-shaped form stained red on the front and flap, partially beaded in a sawtooth pattern using dark blue, green, light blue, greasy yellow, and white, two brass tacks remaining, original tag reads "Indian Knife Sheath from 'Buffalo Calf' a Crow Indian, Crow Agency, Montana Ter. April 3rd, 1889," lg. 11 1/4 in. Provenance: Collected on the Crow Reservation in the late 1880s.
