Currier & Ives, publishers (American, 1857-1907) "Frozen Up," 1872, (Conningham, 2155). Identified in inscriptions in the matrix. Lithograph with hand-coloring heightened with gum arabic on paper, sheet size 8 1/4 x 10 1/4 in., with tiger maple frame. Condition: Margins 1 5/8-inch or more, two repaired tears at l.l. margin, one into image, scattered minor stains, toning. N.B. This print ranks number 18 in THE NEW BEST 50.
