Two Nautical Instruments, an ebony octant, maker's name indistinct, with brass arm and ivory scale and vernier, radius 12 in., in a gray-painted shaped case; and a 2-inch marine telescope with single-draw and tapered leather and rope-covered body tube, lg. 31 in. unextended. Provenance: Capt. Joshua Brewster, Duxbury, Massachusetts, 1763-1851, by descent through the Barnes family.
