Bailey N Yarmouth," Maine, late 18th century, the arch molded crest with pierced fretwork and three plinths surmounted by wood finials above a glazed tombstone door flanked by freestanding turned columns enclosing a painted iron dial with Arabic and Roman numeral chapter ring and silver and gilt vine and geometric designs in the arch and spandrels, the waist with an arched thumb-molded door with flanking molded corners on boxed base and ogee bracket feet, eight-day brass and bell metal time and strike movement, refinished, (fretwork restored, other imperfections),ht. 88, wd. 17 1/4, dp. 9 1/2 in.
