Molded Copper Polo Player Weathervane, by an unknown maker, third quarter 19th century, the figure with mallet mounted on a galloping horse, patinated copper with verdigris surface and vestiges of gold leaf, including painted wooden stand, (minor imperfections),ht. 26 1/4, lg. 50 in. N.B. This weathervane is believed to have been on a polo club in Maryland. Provenance: Marna Anderson and David Pottinger.
