Painted and Decorated Whitewood Dome-top Box, Shaftsbury, Vermont area, 1820s, attributed to the Matteson family, the green and yellow vinegar-painted central decoration surrounded by simulated inlaid quarter round fans, cross-banded tiger maple veneers and circles, repeated on four areas of the six-board form, original surface, varnished, (imperfections),ht. 12, wd. 24, dp. 12 1/2 in.
