From the time she could hold a pencil, Karen has had the need to make marks on paper. In 1987 she took a watercolor class and began a love affair with that medium. Over the years, she has added elements of collage, pastels, oil sticks and printmaking to her work. In 2006, Karen became a member of Blackstone Studio in Worcester, where she enjoys making monotypes. She is an active member of ArtsWorcester, Cambridge Art Association, and Monotype Guild of New England. Her work has appeared in many local shows and galleries and Karen has been honored with a number of awards.
