Deputy Director, Fine Wines
Louis joined Skinner in 2021 with over 15 years of experience in the world of fine wine, having served a wide variety of roles, including buyer’s agent, broker, educator, and more. He has extensive experience on both sides of the podium and prides himself on bringing a grounded, honest, and open approach to everything wine.
Throughout his career, Louis has worked directly with clients to aid in designing, building, and organizing wine cellars and inventorying, preparing and appraising collections being readied for sale. He’s been an integral member of teams creating and hosting wine events across the country, has taught classes for audiences ranging in size from 2 – 2,000, and continues his educational studies at institutions around the world because, when tasting wine is part of the curriculum, you can never study too hard.
Louis holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Boston College, Certified Specialist in Wine and Certified Specialist in Spirits degrees from the Society of Wine Educators and Level III with Distinction from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust. Louis lives in Boston and, when not working, enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends (all while opening a couple bottles of wine, of course).
