Rooster Weathervane Sells for $41,125 At Skinner's Auction of American Furniture and Decortive Arts.

In Skinner’s American Furniture and Decorative Arts Auction, held Sunday, June 8th, 2003, a late 19th century molded copper Hamburg rooster weathervane, attributed to L.W. Cushing & Sons, Waltham, Massachusetts, sold for $41,125.
Overall, the auction was highly successful, totally over $1.7 million - 36% over the high estimate for the auction. Attendance at the auction was tremendous, with very aggressive bidding from live, phone, order, and internet bidders.
