BOLTON, Mass. - October 30, 2007

- www.skinnerinc.com - Skinner, Inc., one of the nation's leading auction houses for antiques and fine art will host a two-day Discovery auction on Wednesday, November 14th and Thursday, November 15th in its Bolton, Mass. gallery, conveniently located west of Boston off Route 495 on Route 117. The auction features over 1,200 lots including a wide selection of material culled from over 16 Skinner specialty departments and property from several New England estates.

Wednesday Evening Session

Wednesday's session begins at 5 p.m., beginning with a special offering of over 200 lots of books, prints, and documents, including a varied selection of Currier & Ives prints. These offerings are followed by over 50 lots of Wedgwood and British ceramics including jasper, basalt, and majolica, plus wares by Royal Doulton, Royal Worcester, and others. These offerings will be followed by Discovery's usual fare of fresh estate goods from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries, including art glass, Asian offerings, art pottery, and collectibles.

Thursday Session

Thursday's session of Discovery begins at 10 a.m. and features over 700 lots. Offerings include a wide and varied selection of American, European, Victorian, Modern, Arts & Crafts, and Asian furniture and decorative arts including clocks and timepieces, rugs, paintings and prints, a selection of Volkmar pottery, near Eastern furnishings, and a pair of Eldred Wheeler Queen Anne style cherry tea tables.

Held monthly, Skinner's Discovery auctions offer something for every buyer and seller, every taste and budget.
