SKINNER'S APRIL DISCOVERY AUCTION FEATURES

SILVER, GARDEN DÉCOR, CLOCKS, AND EPHEMERA
BOLTON, Mass. - March 30, 2005 – www.skinnerinc.com - Skinner, Inc., one of the nation's leading auction houses for antiques and fine art, will host a two-day Discovery Auction on Thursday, April 14th and Friday, April 15th in its Bolton, Mass. gallery. The Thursday session begins at 6 p.m. and features over 400 lots, including silver, ephemera, modern limited edition collectibles, and decorative arts. Ephemera offerings include postcards, advertising, lithographs, 18th-20th century documents, books, and early photographs. Thursday night's session ends with over 150 lots of American and European silver and silverplate.
The Friday session, beginning at 10:00 a.m., features a wide selection of offerings in over 700 lots. Major highlights include property from the estates of two well known collectors from the Hudson Valley, New York area: garden furniture and decorative ornaments from noted collector Alan Schoen of Old Chatham, New York, and Victorian, aesthetic movement, and 50s vintage furniture and decorative arts from the estate of Caleb Fullam from Hudson, New York.
Additional highlights on Friday include Louis Stella Collection of Clocks Part III, ethnographic arts, toys, as well as scientific and technological artifacts. The Friday sale is rounded out with Skinner's usual fare of European, American, and Asian furniture and decorative arts including porcelain, ceramics, metalware, china, art glass, textiles, paintings, prints, and collectibles of all kinds.

The website provides full-color thumbnail images and full lot descriptions, and best of all, allows users to leave bids online, and view prices realized in real-time during and after the auction.
