Users can view the live auction even if they are not interested in bidding. Just register and log-in. You will not see your bidder paddle number displayed and the "bid now" button will be inactivated.
DO I NEED A SPECIAL TYPE OF COMPUTER OR SOFTWARE TO RUN THE SkinnerLive! APPLET?
SkinnerLive! works equally well on PC and Mac computers. You do not need to download bidding software, though the adobe flash player is required.
I AM LOGGED IN BUT DON'T SEE THE IMAGES IN THE BID APPLET. WHY NOT?
If you are logged in and the bid applet graphics display but without images and without displaying your paddle number it is because you do not have a current version of Adobe Flash on your computer. Download Flash and try again.
THE APPLET IS STILL NOT WORKING. WHAT ELSE COULD BE THE CAUSE?
If you have flash installed, you may be working from a building or within a network that has strict firewall settings that are preventing access. Please check with your network administrator, or if using a laptop see if you can access the internet without going through a VPN.
HOW WILL I KNOW IT'S MY TURN TO BID?
Watch the SkinnerLive! bid applet for visual prompts from the clerk letting you know the bid price the auctioneer is asking for and listen to the real-time audio feed to get the full auction experience. The clerk will message "fair warning" messages to let you know when the lot is closing. Many bidders find it helpful to sign-on in advance of the lot(s) that you are interested in so that you can get a feel for the pace of the auction.
HOW WILL I KNOW IF I WAS THE HIGH BIDDER ON A LOT?
Successful high bidders will see displayed in the message box that the lot sold to an internet bidder and will display the winning paddle number.
I LEFT ABSENTEE BIDS AND BID WITH SkinnerLive! WHY DID I GET TWO INVOICES?
Users will receive separate invoices for live internet bidding as the service is subject to a different buyers premium rate.
THE LIVE AUDIO FEED NO LONGER SEEMS IN SYNC WITH THE APPLET, WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Occasionally if the audio feed is on for an extended period of time, a slight delay builds. To remedy this situation, please refresh your browser (press the F5 key) and clear your internet cache. This will resolve the delay.
