Wind Engine Salesman's Sample, Auburn, Indiana, last quarter 19th century, 14-in. dia. wood and brass wheel, with red-stained trim, horizontal center shaft drives the crank wheel to give motion to the pump rod, threaded counterweight rod, rotating head shaft, removable rudder reading "Monitor Auburn IND." on one side, "Improved Monitor" on the reverse, all mounted to a walnut derrick, housed in the original fitted box with leather carrying handle, original illustrated catalog, pocket price list, ordering sheet, and related Monitor and Wells Machine Works ephemera, ht. 19 in.
