Two Small Surgical Kits, c. 19th century, a walnut case with red velvet lining, including trephines and other instruments, and a smaller kit with scalpels, and scissors.
Provenance: The estate of Dr. Timothy Pickering Stone.
Note: These kits were found with the Hospital Department kits owned by surgeon Lincoln Ripley Stone, 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry Regiment.

Larger kit in good condition, smaller kit has a crack in the lid.
