Wedgwood Black Jasper Dip Apotheosis of Homer Vase and Cover, England, 19th century, applied white relief, the cover with Pegasus finial, the vase with Medusa mask and snake handles, classical figures and borders of anthemion and stylized foliage, set on a raised octagonal plinth with griffin figures at each foot and scrolled foliage and panels of classical figures, impressed mark, ht. 24 1/2 in.
Cover: Slight firing lines to clouds below horse.
Vase: 1 1/2" rim hairline; extensive restoration to socle.
One griffin foot with two firing lines.
