Sapphire and Diamond Ring, c. 1915, bezel-set with an oval-cut sapphire measuring approx. 9.10 x 7.80 x 4.60 mm, framed by ten old European-cut diamonds, approx. total diamond wt. 2.00 cts., platinum mount, size 5 1/4.
Note: Accompanied by AGL document no. 1083456, dated April 24, 2017, stating that the sapphire is of Burma origin, no gemological evidence of heat.

The mount is platinum. The stone shows facet wear, would benefit from a polish. Dark. Minor inclusions visible, not obtrusive. Diamonds are very lively old stones and face up white, eye clean, but do draw some color and a couple with dark crystals visible under magnification. Shank bent.
