Four Ancient Bead Necklaces, a Bactrian carnelian and banded agate necklace, two Egyptian carnelian bead necklaces, and a Bactrian carnelian and shell bead necklace, all modern restringings, lg. to 16 in.

Provenance: Purchased at Christie's, December 7, 2006, Sale 1735, Lot 216.
Estimate $1,500-2,000

Hammer price in 2006 was $2800. Further provenance from Christie's: Bactrian necklaces from the collection of Leonard Woolley's daugher via Astarte Gallery, London, 1996. Egyptian necklaces from Rev. William Arthur Shelton, Atlanta, GA, 1921.
