Cummings, Edward Estlin (1894-1962) Original Pen and Ink Drawing. Pen and ink sketch with ink wash identified as the work of Cummings by Hildegarde Watson in a printed note affixed to the board on which the drawing is mounted, depicting "Grandfather Watson," James Sibley Watson Senior, the sheet mounted, toned, with some tears, 11 1/2 x 8 3/4 in.
Cummings graduated from Harvard with Dr. James Sibley Watson Jr. (1894-1982) in 1916. Watson and his wife Hildegarde Lasell Watson (1888-1976),remained close friends of Cummings from that time onward.
