Marquetry Miniature Burl Walnut Longcase Clock, England, late 19th century, a pillow-mold flat-top case with barleytwist columns flanking the square glazed door, 7-in. square brass roman numeral dial with silvered chapter ring, matted center, cast brass spandrels, and pierced steel hands, the waist door fully decorated with two stylized starbursts and three stylized flowers set within ebony horizontal ring-cut veneer, the base with banded and central crotch veneer, both sides inlaid with burl walnut veneer and banded inlay, period eight-day time and bell strike, five-ringed pillar movement with recoil escapement, flat brass pendulum rod and brass bob, all powered by two lead weights, ht. 62 in.
